The historic castle complex is nestled in the forests of the central Ore Mountains high above the Flöha valley. The complex with its centuries-old history offers overnight guests rooms or vacation apartments in a pleasant and comfortable ambience.
Dörnthal Local History Museum
This museum of local history is a museum gem. A tour of the house takes visitors back to the first half of the 19th century. After 1994, the half-timbered house was faithfully restored and opened as a museum in 2000.

Charming and picturesque, pleasure and history
The charming café welcomes its guests in the Kavaliershaus of Rauenstein Castle. In the middle of the picturesque grounds overlooking the Flöha valley, enjoyment is combined with history. When the weather is fine, the beer garden opens and with it the view of the countryside.

Open Monument Day & colorful market in the castle courtyard
You can see lots of interesting things on a tour of Rauenstein Castle. You can also discover vintage items, antiques, home-made items and handicrafts in the castle courtyard.
Pyramid sliding with Hutzenohmd
Together with Santa Claus, the residents, guests and children get the pyramid in Dörnthal up and running with a hearty "Hau-Ruck". This is followed by a cozy Hutzenohmd with entertainment from the Lengefeld Municipal Theatre in "Kraupes Sportlerheim".
